Trauma

Many therapists approach individuals and their experiences through a trauma-informed lens. Rather than asking, 'What’s wrong with you?' the focus shifts to, 'What have you experienced?' This perspective avoids judgment about whether coping mechanisms are positive or negative and instead recognizes that each individual is doing their best to adapt to the impact of trauma. In therapy, the goal is to collaborate in developing healthier coping strategies and reprocessing traumatic experiences to promote healing and growth.
